so while i'm wasting my time researching things on the internet i'm also being a couch potato watching the CMA awards from last night and BAM this is what I see...

I saw this and thought it was so cute and true and inspiring

i'm a mommy, a hairstylist, and a bartender. I list them in order of importance to me. My Brodester, the B-Train, my SnuggleBear is my life, my soul, my heart, my WORLD.

i'm a hairstylist and I love what I do, who I do it with, and who I do it for! My job is so much fun, in fact it doesn't even feel right referring to it is a job.

and last but not least i'm a certified drink slinger. 7 years of babysitting drunks serving drinks with a smile and if you're lucky a lil' wink. it's not my passion but I don't mind it. i like most people ;)

Mondays Don't Have to Be So Bad

Everyone hates Mondays but the good news is that Mondays represent a fresh start! the beginning of a brand new week!

I'm going to give you a quick synopsis of my weekend: styled Bridal hair for a BEAUTIFUL wedding party on Saturday morning (pics will be posted soon), attended the wedding where I witnessed a childhood friend marry her best friend and love of her life, reconnected with old friends, and last, but certainly not least, I SLOW DANCED with my handsome boyfriend :)

So, after a lovely weekend I have to focus on the brand new work week ahead of me! My goal for the week is to give someone a transformation. I'm looking for someone who is bored with their look and in need of a change. Kind of like this....

hehehe

and my final thought of the day now that I posted a pic of Jillian Michaels....it's time to get back to the 30 day shred before I start lookin' like that "before" picture of her...waaahhhwahhhh

My Beauty Must-Haves/Can't Live Without/I'd Be Lookin' Like a Fool Without

(this needs to be prefaced with the fact that technically I have a million different beauty products that I "can't live without". That being said, these are a few of my favorite things...

cherry carmex, boom. (just found out there  is vanilla carmex on the market?!)

My Paul Mitchell Pro Tools and XL express ion smooth roundbrush, AND my Paul Mitchell products: Sculpting Foam, Super Skinny Relaxing Balm, Tea Tree Lemon Sage Root Lifter, Hold Me Tight Finishing Spray (ridiculous, I know, but this wild mane needs some serious taming)

MAC Painterly Pot. This is the one item I can't live without! Keeps my eye makeup in place or it's a great product to wear alone with a little mascara and some lipgloss.

Shellac Nails! aaaaaaamazing! The new gel polish makes the old fashioned nail polish look like a chump.

and last but certainly not least, my absolute favorite discovery over the past 2 years....

Tan Towels!

These bad boys could have quite possibly saved my life...and i'm not even joking you. I was add.ic.ted. to the tanning bed and one day I decided to try this wonderful product. The reason I stopped tanning is because I found myself embarassed to admit that I was going to the tanning bed because let's face it, it is embarassing. There is no need to lay in a booth for 20 minutes and bake your skin!! Happy Tan Towelling, friends ;)

Let me tell you why I'm really here...

HAIR!

I decided to follow my dreams when I woke up one day and realized that I wasn't happy. I hated my job! I pursued my career in the beauty industry and here I am; HAPPY :), SATISFIED, and LOVING MY LIFE!!!!!

I love all things HAIR!...and makeup...and fashion...and artsy...and beautiful!!!!

(my bread and butter)

I am inspired daily by: music, children, successful and energetic people, the sunshine, people who think outside of the box, laughter, and seriously this is ridiculous but I find the X-Factor to be so inspiring! (there's just something about watching ordinary people shine on a big stage and release their inner EXTRAORDINARY!)

Falling in LOVE with Fall

So, let's talk about FALL real quick. Other than the obvious things to love about this season like, Pumpkin Spice Latte's, turning your air conditioning off, not shaving your legs everyday, The Ohio State Buckeyes, drinking coffee on your porch in the mornings or drinking an adult beverage on your porch in the evenings with a brisk, cool breeze floating in the air, etc. One of my favorite things about this season is the FASHION! The sweaters, the cardigans, the boots, the jeans, the leggings, the handbags, the hats, the accessories, the scarves.....and so on and so forth.

I think we can all agree that FALL is most definitely the CAT'S PAJAMAS

 

Exhibit A:

What is not to LOVE about wide leg denim?! So flattering to the figure...although if you're a little on the shorter side, like myself, getting them hemmed is usually a MUST!

Exhibit B:

I'm drooling over these lil guys! They would be PERF to wear with almost anything!

Exhibit C:

Scarves!! In the hair orrrr around the neck! So easy, cheap and FANTASTIC!

Exhibit D:

Dress + Boots = SASSY! Fall is the perfect time of year to pull off this look. Especially with a cute long sleeved sweater dress!

and last, but certainly not least, my favorite thing about FALL is....

snuggling up with a loved one is priceless...whether it be your boo or your lil boo
